Ronke Soyombo is an accomplished educationist, a business lawyer, a prolific writer and a Microsoft certified professional with over 30 years teaching experience in Nigeria and the United Kingdom where she has earned a name for herself as a stickler for high standards and quality performance.
Highly skilled in utilizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to aid learning in schools which led to her appointment as the ICT Coordinator and Team Leader in London where she became the first black Advanced Skill Teacher (AST) for ICT in Lambeth Borough, London (Top 3% teachers in England and Wales). A Head-Teacher of two top schools in London and Nigeria where she was instrumental in helping many under-performing schools to improve and attain higher standards.
Her years in the education sector have availed her cognitive competence in quality assurance and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, budget and resource management, improvement plan implementation, performance optimization, as well as academic intervention schemes aimed at student improvement and inclusion. She is also versed in identifying gaps in education standards, filling those gaps and raising standards through skill impartation to teachers in primary and secondary schools.

LLB in Business Law from London Guildhall University (now London Metropolitan University) in 1997.

Qualifying Teaching Status in 2002 as well as National Professional Qualification for Headship (Headteachers’ qualification) from the Institute of Education in 2007.
CAREER
She was appointed the First Director General of the Lagos State Education Quality Assurance. A position she retained in the administration of two consecutive governors after Governor Fashola up until 2019. In this posting, she led the group that wrote the evaluation schedule for the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja.
In August 2019, she became the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Education where she led the three Education Agencies (MOES&T, TESCOM and SUBEB) for a period of 16 months before substantive heads were appointed. During her tenure, she introduced a number of brilliant intervention schemes such as an Ogun Digi Class, on-boarding of teachers to an enclosed platform known as Microsoft 365, training of teachers to mention but a few.
She sits on the board of several institutions, notable among which are Bridge Academy, Amazing Elect School, Lekki, Almond College and Chrisland Group of Schools. Notwithstanding her brimming plate and various engagements, Ronke is desirous to achieve even more. She is eager to use her experience to transform more schools and share her ideas with practitioners in the education sector to help them up their game as well as improve the overall effectiveness of their schools which led to the establishment of MIDAS Education Consulting Firm through which she has been offering her professional services to schools.
